Underarm Whitening – How to whiten underarms
Underarm whitening becomes very important when you start getting uncomfortable showing off your shoulders and arms like you want to. I know, I result to wearing a T- shirt on the beach when I really wanted to put on something smaller and enjoy the sun. I stopped looking at strapless dresses and sleeveless shirts at stores, because I was very uncomfortable going out in them and moving my arms freely like I want to. Always self aware that someone would spot my dark underarms. I tried shaving which did not help much. Then I did a little research on underarm whitening cream and treatment. I was happy with what I found. I was glad I was not the only one with dark or brown spots on my armpits. Found results, it takes a couple of (3-5) weeks to lighten your armpits and see big results, so be patience. But it works. I would share some of the products that works for me and others. Then you can choose the most effective underarm whitening products for you. My biggest tip is to buy two or three cream tubes or cans at a time, so you don’t have to wait between treatments.
Causes of Dark Underarms
- Not Exfoliating (Dead skin build up)
- Antiperspirant and deodorant with harsh ingredients (switch or stop)
- Hyperpigmentation (caused by sun damage)
How to whiten Underarms
Yes shaving can make your armpits look darker. When you shave you only remove the top portion leaving the hair bulb (roots) in your skin. The visible roots makes your skin appear darker. Solution, exfoliate using tweezers to pull each hair out or and Epilator which is faster. A one time purchase less expensive than waxing regularly.

Antiperspirant and Deodorant with Aluminum
Deodorants and antiperspirants have harsh chemicals and aluminum. This can often cause your skin to react by turning dark. Take a sec to check if aluminum is an ingredient in your deodorant too. it can also be a factor for dark armpit. Some people can go without antiperspirants. But for those who can’t, try something else and see what works
